7-year-old hit by car in Lynn; driver cited after allegedly leaving scene

LYNN, Mass. — A 7-year-old was hit by a car in Lynn yesterday, and the driver allegedly left the scene before police located him, according to authorities.

Just before 7 p.m., police responded to a report of a child struck by a car on Park Street.

Officers found the 7-year-old suffering from facial and head abrasions. The child was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police later located the vehicle and cited the driver for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
