CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Three people were hospitalized after a car crashed into the front of a Citizens Bank in Porter Square, according to Cambridge police.
Police believe the operator of the 2022 Toyota Highlander was an Uber driver and was transporting two people when the car accelerated and crashed into the Cambridge bank.
The 66-year-old Uber driver and two passengers were transported to Mass General Hospital with minor injuries.
According to police the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
There is no indication that the driver was impaired or distracted at the time of the crash, police say.
The incident remains under investigation.
