BOSTON — Two people were hospitalized after a tractor-trailer flipped over on its side on the Mass Pike early Saturday.
State Troopers responded to the crash near Exit 131 to Cambridge Street and Storrow Drive.
According to police the driver and passenger were taken to Beth Israel Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unclear at this time.
MassDOT crews worked to clean up the cans and bottles that were strewn across the eastbound side and westbound sides of the highway.
Photos shared by Boston Fire Department during the massive cleanup show that those bottles and cans that littered the highway were in cases of beer.
