11-year-old flown to Boston hospital with serious injuries after being hit by car

AMESBURY, Mass. — An 11-year-old boy was med flighted to a Boston hospital from Amesbury after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike on Sunday, according to the town’s fire department. That boy sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday near Oakland Street and Chestnut Street in the town. The driver, who was not injured in the crash, remained on scene.
