WESTON, Mass. — The Town of Weston’s Board of Health is currently monitoring 95 residents amid the coronavirus outbreak.

As of Friday, 15 residents have tested presumptive positive for COVID-19. 28 additional residents are being monitored daily and the status of 52 others is currently being determined. All 95 people are under a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

The town’s select board declared a state of emergency for Weston Tuesday out of growing concerns of the COVID-19 outbreak.

97 of the 413 coronavirus cases in Massachusetts have been linked to a meeting Biogen held in Boston last month. The Cambridge-based biotech company has an office located on Boston Post Road in Weston.

On Tuesday, Weston’s Public Health Director Wendy Diotalevi told Boston 25 News seven of the presumptive positive cases in town are linked to Biogen.
