LEOMINSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A huge fire on Greenwood Drive forced six families out of their homes.
The flames began just before 9 p.m. on Monday.
Residents were forced out of their homes with only the clothes on their backs. They grabbed their necessities, pets and ran out.
One fire firefighter was treated on scene for having glass in his eyes. One tenant was also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Two dogs perished in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
