A fire was reported under the pier at the Barking Crab restaurant in Boston.
Crews responded to the restaurant at 88 Sleeper Street just after 7 p.m. They had to cut a hole in the floor of the building to locate the fire.
Video sent to FOX 25 News showed firefighters standing on a dock spraying the underside of the pier the restaurant is on.
No flames were visible and the fire was extinguished Monday evening. Investigators said the fire was caused by careless disposal of smoking materials.
Damage was estimated at $10-thousand.
