LYNN, Mass. — A Lynn family is trying to get a man left in a vegetative state in an Atlanta hospital back home.
Bryan Sanchez was involved in a hit and run in late March while riding his motorcycle in Atlanta on his way to see his 18-month-old son.
Police say Sanchez was hit by a 49-year-old woman, leaving Sanchez for dead before being arrested. The woman was charged with felony hit and run and tampering with evidence.
Sanchez's sisters say doctors told them their brother had little chance of surviving, and they're now asking for help to transport Sanchez back to Boston for a second opinion.

The sisters started a Go Fund Me campaign called "Bring Back Bryan," which has raised just under $3,500
"All we're asking for is help so at least we can give him a fighting chance," Sanchez's sister Cristina said.
The family said they initially wanted to raise $8,000 dollars, but medical bills have raised their goal to $80,000.
Cristina Sanchez said the family is doing all they can to get their brother back.
"I don't want to look at my nephew and put my head down in shame because I didn't fight hard enough and we didn't fight hard enough for his dad," Cristina Sanchez said.

Sanchez's other sister Natalie said she made a promise to Sanchez that they'd bring him back to Boston.
"I was standing next to him and praying, and I said, 'We're going to get you home, we're going to go home,'" Natalie Sanchez said.
