MILLBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com)— A Millbury family is looking for their puppy, Katie, after someone reportedly broke into their home and stole her.
Katie was taken Saturday from the Samuelson home. It was not immediately clear if other household items were stolen during the break-in, or just the puppy. A Facebook page with information about Katie was created to get the word out.
The stolen dog is a Coton de Tulear brand, and she has brown and white fur. She is 14 weeks old and weighs approximately five pounds.
On Sunday, a dog was posted for sale in Athol that looked similar to Katie. Athol police went to the home but said the puppy for sale was not Katie. Katie has a microchip and Millbury police are using that information to make sure that the puppy in Athol was not the same dog, Lori Samuelson, Katie's owner, said.
