A manhole fire in South Boston left hundreds of Eversource customers without power on Monday.
The company reported 430 customers in Boston were without power in the 80-degree temperatures on Monday night.
The manhole fire happened on E 2nd Street.

Residents without their power were left to fight through the late-night heat with no air conditioners or fans after the incident.
The timing on when power may be restored was unknown at the time of the fire.
