The maker of a birth control pill has issued a nationwide recalled after they say misplaced capsules could actually cause unwanted pregnancies.
Allergan has recalled the Taytulla 28-count birth control packs after a doctor alerted them that four placebo pills were placed out of order.
The pack contains 24 pink capsules - with hormones, followed by four maroon capsules - without hormones. Taking the pills out of sequence may result in contraceptive failure and unintended pregnancy.

Patients who have the sample pack product with the lot #5620706 Exp. May 2019, should notify their healthcare provider to arrange a return or if they have questions.
