STONEHAM, Mass. — A DCR truck rolled into Spot Pond Sunday evening when an employee thought it was in gear.
Officials said there were two employees in the truck and they were driving next to the water to talk to either swimmers of fisherman, as reported on FOX25 News at 10. One of the workers got out of the truck, apparently not realizing it was still in gear, and it rolled into the pond.
The employee still in the truck managed to swim to safety.
The tow truck had a difficult time getting the truck out, but managed to bring in a large truck into the trail area.
DCR officials told FOX25 News that this is an ongoing investigation and they're still trying to figure out how this happened in the first place.
