WOBURN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man has been arrested and charged with stabbing his brother in Woburn Thursday morning.
Two brothers, Kosta and John Vovolis, got in a dispute outside 53 Cedar St. at about 8 a.m. According to police, the brothers got into a verbal argument in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
The argument escalated, and Kosta Vovolis, 29, reportedly pulled out a knife, and chased his 26-year-old brother inside the apartment building, stabbing him multiple times in the upper body and neck area, police said.
First responders found John Vovolis outside on the sidewalk, and transported him to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Officers found Kosta Vovolis in his apartment and arrested him "without incident."
Neighbors are shocked by what happened.
It's unclear what the brothers were fighting about, but a police source tells FOX25 the victim had issued with drugs. We tried to reach out to the apartment complex, but they would not comment about the incident or if there was an ongoing problem with the brothers.
