NORWOOD, Mass. — A garbage truck and police cruiser were involved in a crash in Norwood early Monday morning, according to officials.
The incident was reported in the rotary on Route 1 and Neponset Street.

Heavy delays are expected, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
Fire officials told Boston 25 News that the driver of the garbage truck was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

The officer inside the police cruiser was taken to a hospital to be evaluated.
