CARVER, Mass. - The national anthem was played at Monday's youth baseball championship game in Carver, but that wasn't the case last weekend.
A neighbor near Majors Field called police Saturday morning to make a Disturbing the Peace complaint because the game was too noisy. As a result, the Carver Cranberry League decided to stop playing the national anthem before games, as well as music in between innings.
Player introductions were also halted.
Parents at Monday’s game could not believe someone called police, calling the results "sad."
The league president told Boston 25 News that a neighbor also made a noise complaint during a game on Memorial Day.
After speaking with police, the league has decided to once again play the national anthem, music and announce players during their games.
