Chad Johnson reportedly strikes a deal to avoid jail time

It looks like Chad Johnson will not serve jail time for the alleged head-butting of his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.

TMZ reports that the currently unemployed wide receiver has struck a deal that includes probation and extensive anger management counseling in exchange for a guilty or no contest plea. The report cites sources close to Chad.

Chad and Evelyn's divorce was finalized on Tuesday, just two and a half months after their nuptials.

The former New England Patriot was arrested on Aug. 11 and subsequently charged with misdemeanor battery after Evelyn, known for starring on VH1's "Basketball Wives," accused him of head-butting her during an argument outside their Florida home.

Chad was cut by the Miami Dolphins one day after his arrest.
