BOSTON — The South End's Ramsay Park re-opened Friday with its brand new look and improved amenities.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh attended the brief ceremony to rededicate the park named for Captain David Ramsay, who received the Medal of Honor fo this service as a pilot during the Vietnam War.
The $2.4 million renovation added three new basketball courts, a new tennis court, a new playground, a splash pad, a skateboard facility and a synthetic turf field for multiple sports to use.
The park is located on Washington Street in the South End.
