Boston police make arrest in connection to Back Bay shooting

BOSTON — Boston police said they have arrested a man in connection to a shooting in Boston’s Back Bay Wednesday night.

Brandon Sicard, 29, of Boston, was arrested Thursday.

Police were called to the area of Newbury and Fairfield streets around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to investigate reports of a shooting in the area.

Ballistic evidence was found and police said they saw damage to several businesses and vehicles in the area.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Sicard is charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (firearm), unlawful possession of a firearm and firearm discharged within 500 Feet of a dwelling.

He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
