LOWELL, Mass. — The body of a UMass Lowell student was found on campus Sunday morning.
The body was found around 6 a.m. in Ball Hall.
A friend of the student told FOX25, the male was in the graduate engineering program.
The school issued the following statement to FOX25:
"A student was found deceased in an academic building on Sunday morning. The State Police have determined that the death is non-suspicious. The university has reached out to the student’s family as part of our campus response. We are deeply saddened by this tragedy and offer our condolences to the student's family and loved ones."
Also this weekend, a student at UMass Dartmouth died from an overdose. The Boston Globe reports the 20-year-old make was found dead on Friday.
