Bear makes off with bird feeder in NH

CONCORD, N.H. — A bear was spotted out enjoying the beautiful weekend weather in New Hampshire Saturday.

State police shared a video of the bear wandering away from a home with a bird feeder.

New Hampshire Fish and Game says the best way to prevent bears from wandering onto your property is to take away their source of food.

They say bird feeders should be taken down between April and December every year when bears are most active.

🐻 Wanted; Warrants Pending🐻 On Saturday, June 8th at approximately 12:14PM, the bear pictured in the video left the residence of #NHSP TFC Prenaveau with an item that did not belong to the 🐻. The investigation will be dropped if the item is returned without damage or further destruction. All jokes aside, this happens often so please visit the NH Fish and Game website for more information regarding the presence of bears in residential areas and feeding birds responsibly in #NH. https://wildlife.state.nh.us/wildlife/bears/faqs.html
