MANCHESTER, N.H. — Two teenage girls are recovering after being shot with a BB gun by a passing vehicle.
A 14-year-old girl was shot in the face and a 13-year-old girl shot in the left thigh with what appears to be a BB gun when they were walking home from school on Thursday afternoon, Manchester Police said.
"I never thought this would happen to my daughter," said the girl's father, who doesn't want to be identified.

Witnesses say the shots came from a passing vehicle, described as a gold, two-door car, possibly a Toyota with a black stripe on the rear window. The witness told police there were three people inside the car and one woman had red hair.
The shooter is still at large.
"These people. I wonder what's going through your head. You open fire with a BB gun. Guns aren't toys," the father said.
On Friday, a plastic surgeon removed the piece of copper from her face. The other teen is also doing OK.
