The Archdiocese of Boston has announced a Framingham monsignor has been placed on administrative leave following an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor.
The Archdiocese says it contacted police immediately after learning of alleged sexual abuse of a minor dating back to 2006. As a result, Reverend Monsignor Francis Strahan has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately.
Msgr. Strahan is a Pastor of Saint Bridget Parish in Framingham.

Strahan has been with the church for more than 35 years
The Archdiocese has initiated its own investigation into the complaint.
No additional information was released.
