MASHPEE, Mass. — There's another store planned in Massachusetts for those who can't get enough for L.L.Bean.
The Maine-based retailer will open its fourth Massachusetts store this summer at the Mashpee Commons.
The store will be 20,000 feet of retailer space and will include the clothing items like Bean Boots and outdoor gear for fly fishing, kayaking and camping.
"Mashpee has a lot of elements that make it an attractive location for us. There’s a host of outdoor recreational opportunities readily available nearby, with an active population base that regularly takes advantage of these resources, combined with a vibrant tourist community,” said Ken Kacere, senior vice-president and general manager of retail at L.L.Bean.
L.L. Bean hopes that a presence on Cape Cod will serve the people and summer tourists of the region. The Mashpee store will also feature an L.L.Bean’s Outdoor Discovery School, which offers classes such as beginning snowshoeing, birding fundamentals and how to stand-up paddle board.
The store will employ approximately 75 people and the store is already hiring.
