2 people arrested on drug charges after crash in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Manchester police arrested two people Tuesday after a two-car crash.

According to police, officers on Queen City Avenue saw a speeding Volvo go straight through an intersection in a left turn only lane.

The officers began to follow that vehicle and a short distance later found that it had been involved in a crash at another intersection.

The driver of that Volvo, Starjuline Francis-Content, 25 was arrested on a previous warrant. She was also charged with reckless conduct and two counts of possession of a controlled drug for cocaine and Clonazapam that was discovered during a search.

The passenger of that vehicle, 24-year-old Shane Shaffer, was also arrested. Police said they found a small amount of marijuana on the floor of the car right below him and two Clonazapam pills during a search. He is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
