RAIN & WIND
A windswept rain will soak the region through this evening. The heaviest will be falling during the PM commute, with low visibility and nuisance ponding of water on the roadways. Rainfall will be coming to an end between 8-10pm.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of southern New England for sustained winds 20-30 mph and gusts 45-55 mph. Pockets of wind damage are possible, along with some power outages and debris in the roads.
Things will brighten up Thursday, but the wind will be a nuisance and the Wind Advisory will remain in effect through the afternoon. Plan for gusts up to 45 mph. Clouds will puff up in the afternoon, plus it will be MUCH cooler with highs in the lower 40s. At Gillette, it’ll be breezy for kick off with a temperature of 37°. Winds will be subsiding through the game as temperatures drop.
The next storm is slated for Saturday with more showers and gusty winds.
