Unseasonably cool temperatures throughout the weekend. Raw and breezy conditions are expected to accompany these below-average temperatures. Values today will top out in the 50s…around 20 degrees below where we should be for this time of the year. Today few showers may make an appearance along eastern Mass. Dry weather to the west with periods of sunshine. Late this afternoon winds will pick up and gusts may exceed 25 mph. We’re also remaining attentive to the conditions along the coast. A High Surf Advisory has been issued and it’s in effect on Sunday 8 PM. Expect large-breaking waves 5-8′ In the surf zone. Conditions will be dangerous for swimming, although not an ideal day for such activity, and may see some water splash over low-lying coastal areas.
Tomorrow we’ll experience waves of rain. A low will retrograde and bring occasional showers. Temperatures will remain in the 50s. Similar conditions will extend into the first part of the week. We’ll see a drying trend as the week progresses with temperatures moderating back to seasonable.
