The NFL postponed New England’s game against the defending Super Bowl champions after both teams reported positive COVID-19 tests on Saturday. The Patriots released an official statement Saturday morning after news broke about a player having coronavirus, but have not named the player.
Schefter reported on Saturday that Pats quarterback Cam Newton was the player with coronavirus.
Newton posted on Instagram on Sunday afternoon saying, “I will never question God’s reasoning; just will always respond with, 'Yes Lord.”
