Do you have what it takes? Patriots cheerleader tryout dates announced

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The five-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots Cheerleaders will hold open auditions for the 2018 squad on Saturday, March 3, inside the Pieri Gymnasium at Dean College.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and participants who are at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED are invited to audition.

There is a $20 registration fee, and those auditioning are asked to wear neat workout attire and sneakers or dance shoes, wear their hair and make-up “glamorous” versus “sporty” and bring a resume and 5x7 photo for identification purposes.

Approximately 34 members will be selected for the 2018 Patriots Cheerleading Squad after learning numerous pieces of choreography, which they will perform on the day of auditions, along with a freestyle round, where dancers will perform individually to music provided the day of.

Following preliminary rounds, judges will narrow the field to a group of 40-50 dancers, who will advance to semi-final auditions.

Final auditions will be held on Saturday, March 24.

In addition to performing at all Patriots home games in front of more than 65,000 fans, those selected to the squad will have the opportunity to make public appearances throughout New England in support of communities’ charitable organizations and local businesses.

Members of the team will also take part in a number of travel opportunities, including a trip to Mexico in June for their annual calendar and video shoot.
