Boston 25 Morning News Announces 2018 Zip Trip Schedule

DEDHAM, Mass. — Bring your hometown pride to a Boston 25 Morning News Summer Zip Trip!

The morning team will head to 10 cities and towns across Massachusetts beginning Friday, June 22 to celebrate their 15th season of Zip Trips. Stops are planned for Peabody, Weymouth, Fitchburg, Franklin, Medford, Uxbridge, Chatham, East Boston, Billerica and Duxbury.

The live broadcasts are a Boston 25 Morning News tradition. Each Zip Trip is a mix of live interviews, interesting guests and taped segments that capture the spirit of local communities and the people who live there.

Every Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. we’ll showcase the best of the places we visit including fun things to do, restaurants and plenty of hidden gems, and little known facts.

The morning team has visited 235 cities and towns during the long-running Zip Trips. Boston 25 News anchors Gene Lavanchy, Elizabeth Hopkins, Sara Underwood, Daniel Miller, Julie Grauert, Meteorologist Shiri Spear and Boston 25 Around Town Host Michele Lazcano will host the summer-long broadcasts.

Each Zip Trip gives residents “bragging rights” and a chance to share what makes their hometown a great place to live. Neighbors, residents and kids of all ages are invited to share their community pride and be part of Boston 25’s live audience.
