• Around Town This Weekend: August 17-20

    Summer air and summer music, it's a great time of year to get out there and dance to your favorite tunes. This weekend there's plenty going on around town to help you indulge in just that.

    1. Falmouth Zip Trip  -- Falmouth Heights Fields

        Friday, August 18th

    Tomorrow, the one and only Zip Trip to the Cape this summer. Join the Boston 25 Morning News team at Falmouth Heights Fields for a morning full of family fun, food samples, amazing guests, and so much more!

    2. 8th Annual Shirley Fire Department Motorcycle Ride 

        Saturday, August 19th

    Saturday, check out the 8th Annual Shirley Fire Department Motorcycle Ride. Registration begins at 9:30am and kickstands are up at 11am. Following the ride there will be food, games, and music at the American Legion. A portion of the proceeds will be donated towards Operation Delta Dog, a non-profit organization working to rescue and train homeless dogs to be service animals for veterans. A wonderful event benefiting a very worthwhile cause. 

    3. 16th Annual Blues N Brews Festival -- Nashoba Valley Ski Area 

        Saturday, August 19th - Sunday, August 20th

    Continue the fun this weekend at the Blues N Brews Festival. Two full days packed with music from 11 fantastic blues bands, more than 100 beer samples, games, raffles, BBQ, and much more. Bring the kids to sing and dance along. It all starts Saturday morning at 10:30am. Tickets are available online and will also be sold at the door. 

    And, take a few minutes this weekend to nominate a hero in your life in our Salute to Our Armed Forces Contest. Boston 25 and our partners would like to thank our veterans and active duty members for their service to our country. Join us and share the story of a veteran or activie duty member and what their service means to you on the official entry from on the Around Town Facebook page or Boston 25 News website. Entries don't take long and the winner will be awarded a prize totaling more than $20,000 in value.
