WATCH: MBTA arrest man for alleged 'campaign of vandalism'

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man has been arrested for alleged felony "tagging" after MBTA officials say he vandalized two MBTA trolleys and went on a "campaign of vandalism."

Police say that on Jan. 14, 2014 two vintage trolleys at Boylston Street station were vandalized. In July, Transit Police issued an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Daniel Nelligan for his alleged role in the vandalism.

Over the next several months, officials say they worked to identify a second suspect involved in the vandalism, a suspect police say "continued his campaign of vandalism against the MBTA, private and city of Boston owned property."

On Tuesday, police arrested 19-year-old Marc Meadowcroft of Revere as the graffiti vandal known as "CIGA".

Meadowcroft is facing 14 counts of felony "tagging" and is due in court on Wednesday.
