According to a police report, Adams is accused of pushing credentialed freelance photographer Ryan Zebley, “causing whiplash and headache” and a “possible minor concussion,” NBC News reported, noting that the assault charge was filed in Kansas City Municipal Court.

According to court records released Wednesday, Adams was cited for an “intentional, overt act” that inflicted “bodily injury,” ESPN reported.

Adams is due in court Nov. 10, the sports news network reported.

The wide receiver took to social media immediately following the game to apologize for his outburst, but his post also appeared to cast at least part of the blame on Zebley, NBC News reported.

Meanwhile, a source confirmed to ESPN that Adams is facing discipline from the NFL for the shove, but a timetable for the league’s ruling has not yet been established because the Raiders are on a bye week.

Raiders coach Josh McDaniels voiced his support for Adams on Tuesday afternoon, characterizing the postgame incident as “an unfortunate situation,” the sports news network reported.

“We obviously don’t want any of our guys to be doing anything like that,” McDaniels told ESPN, adding, “(Adams) knows that. He’s very well aware of that, but I know the person. I don’t think there was any intent behind it, on (Adams’) part.”
