Transit Police help put a wanted man into custody

(MyFoxBoston.com) -- Transit Police helped put a wanted man into custody on Monday after the suspect was spotted at South Station.

Police say the officers were told by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office to be on the look out for 24-year-old Michael Frazier, who had an active warrant out for heroin possession, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Plymouth officials told transit officers that they believed Frazier may be heading to South Station in an attempt to leave Massachusetts.

A transit officer was able to spot Frazier inside the bus terminal. The officer says that when he approached Frazier, the suspect pushed him aside and fled.

The officer was able to chase down Frazier and subdue him after a struggle.

Frazier was taken to the Transit Police Headquarters for booking.
