BOSTON — The work week is nearly over, but Expressway commuters have had a long morning.
The problems on the Expressway started around 4 a.m. Friday when MassDOT reported a truck spilled debris on the northbound side. Police blocked off the right lane and backups started building.

Soon after, a motorcycle crash closed the HOV lane on the northbound side of the Expressway, near the debris, leaving just one lane of the highway open near exit 14.
EMS was called to the scene. There's no word on injuries.

Police closed access to the HOV lane while they cleared the crash, but have since opened it to all traffic until 7:15 a.m. to alleviate some of that traffic.
