Ski legend Bode Miller stops by Cannon Mountain

FRANCONIA, N.H. — There's still snow on many mountains across New England and this weekend's weather made for some great spring skiing.

A local legend made the day even better, but for everyone who was at Cannon Mountain Saturday seeing Bode Miller was only part of the fun.

The six-time Olympic medalist and world champion returned to Cannon Mountain, a place-he calls home.

“We looked up and saw three girls pressing their face against the window looking at us getting out of the car and they were just like they thought they were at a Justin Beiber concert,” he said.

Flying all the way from Orange County, Bode and his family made the trip up through the White Mountains to host the 11th-annual Bodefest.

“Seeing how many kids are out here enjoying skiing and enjoying the environment that I grew up in is awesome,” he said.
