FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — A contractor faced child pornography charges Thursday, just two weeks after he was accused of putting a recording device inside the bathroom at a Foxborough daycare.
Taunton police were tipped off about child pornography evidence in the backyard of his home.
Police say, the 48-year-old tried to be clever, by burning his computers so they wouldn’t find evidence.
Boston 25 News cameras were there as Darin McNeil faced a judge once again. This time, he is being arraigned on four charges, including child pornography, at Taunton District Court.
Two weeks ago, Boston 25 News reported McNeil was accused of setting up a recording device in the bathroom at a daycare facility.
At the end of May, Foxborough police say McNeil was hired to do some work at Learning Experience Daycare. He allegedly put a camera pen in the bathroom. On Wednesday night, Taunton police got a search warrant for McNeil’s Powhattan Estates home.

Authorities say some of the evidence discovered on SD cards and thumb drives showed one girl, as young as 6 years old. Other evidence was found in the backyard of his home. Police say, McNeil tried to cover it up and burned his computers in the fire pit.
The backyard fire pit allegedly contained charred computer components, motherboards, DVD cases, hard drive cases and melted metal.
McNeil’s parents were in court and told Boston 25 News he is a good guy.
Neighbors told Boston 25 McNeill is a father of two children and a veteran.
McNeill was held on a $15,000 cash bail. He has been ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitoring bracelet and he is not allowed to have any possession of electronic devices.
