Police arrest three brothers in connection with 35 burglaries in Mattapoisett

MATTAPOISETT, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police arrested three men, all brothers, in connection with 35 burglaries in Mattapoisett.

At least 35 homes in Mattapoisett were vandalized by thieves who stole copper water pipes and shower heads. Sheds were also broken into and several tools and small outdoor motors were stolen, according to police.

Officers conducting surveillance in the area of Crescent Beach Sunday saw two men being dropped off. The car returned a while later to pick up them up again. As the car was leaving, it was pulled over by a marked patrol.

While the car was stopped, officers saw a substantial amount of copper pipes and shower heads in the rear passenger compartment.

Glen Bowman, 28, Alex Bowman, 40, and Kevin Bowman, 33, of New Bedford are charged with breaking and entering in the night time with intent to commit a felony, receiving stolen property over $250, malicious destruction of property over $250, larceny from a building and use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.

All three were arraigned Monday.
