NEWTON, Mass. — Police in Newton announced on Saturday night that the missing six-to-eight-foot snake that went missing from a nearby residence on Tuesday evening has been located.
The snake, named "Lightning," is a Burmese python, according to a missing wildlife advisory from the town's police department.
Per police, the pet's owner described the snake as gold, black and yellow. The Animal Rescue League noted that the snake would likely be out in warmer weather but would likely seek out warm places during cold weather, such as garages.
