Pedestrian to be charged in Brookline road rage incident

BROOKLINE, Mass. — A woman will be summonsed to court in connection with a case of road rage in Brookline, police said.

Police were called to Beacon Street around 5:45 p.m. Monday for a report of road rage.

A driver told police she honked at a pedestrian who walked out in front of her car. The driver said the pedestrian then came over and started slapping her window.

The driver said the pedestrian reached into her window. In a panic, she rolled up the window, trapping the pedestrian’s arms and drove away from the intersection.

Police said the pedestrian was dragged approximately five feet before the driver stopped.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for swelling in her arms.

Police said the pedestrian will be summonsed to court for assault and battery against the driver.
