CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — New track was installed along the MBTA Red Line between Harvard and Central.
The MBTA said there was a problem with the track Thursday that was forcing trains to move slowly between Harvard and Central southbound.

While the T was closed in the hours between Thursday service and Friday morning service, crews replaced a portion of track, according to MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo.
