HOLYOKE, Mass. — State Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash in Holyoke that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries Friday morning, according to a tweet from the department.
Officials say the crash involved a car and a motorcycle on Route 91 North in the town. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries. There has not been an update on their condition.
Mass. State Police originally had tweeted on Friday morning that the crash was fatal. However, they corrected that statement at 10:35 a.m., stating the incident resulted in serious injury, but not death.

Troopers assigned to the Hampden District Attorney's Office are assisting Mass. State Police in the investigation.

Officials announced that all lanes were reopened to traffic just after 10 a.m. on Friday.
