Tufts Medical Center reports no COVID-19 patients in ICU for the first time since March 2020

BOSTON — For the first time since the very beginning of the pandemic, Tufts Medical Center, a Boston-area hospital, said Thursday it has no COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit.

Tufts Medical Center first admitted a COVID-19 patient into the ICU on March 23, 2020, 731 days ago.

A Tufts spokesperson said, as of Thursday morning the hospital is caring for nine COVID-19 patients, but none in the ICU.
