FITCHBURG, Mass. — A man is in the hospital after he was hit by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Fitchburg.
Transit police were called to the Fitchburg Commuter Rail station at 10:30 Friday night after a report that someone may have been hit by a train.
Responding officials learned that a man trespassing on the Right of Way was hit by a train near 100 Main Street.
The man was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Transit police are investigating.
