ROXBURY, Mass. — A victim has been identified in a fatal shooting that occurred on Tremont Street in Roxbury on Monday, June 7, at approximately 8:45 p.m.
The Boston Police Department said officers assigned to Roxbury responded to calls about a person shot. Upon arrival, officers learned about an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
BPD confirmed to Boston 25 they identified the victim, Fermin Baez, 32, of Dorchester, who presented himself to a local hospital after the shooting on Tremont St. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Baez was pronounced deceased.
The investigation into the shooting is still active and ongoing, police say, as they continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident. If anyone knows of further details relative to the investigation, they can contact the BPD Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
