Trader Joe’s recalls popular cookies that could be contaminated with rocks

Trader Joe’s is recalling popular cookies because they could be contaminated with rocks, officials said.

The grocery chain’s Almond Windmill Cookies and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies are subject to the recall, an announcement on their website said.

The Almond Windmill Cookies have a sell-by date of 10/19/23 through 10/21/23 and the Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies have a sell-by date of 10/17/23 through 10/21/23.

All potentially affected product has been removed from sale and destroyed, according to Trader Joe’s.

“If you purchased or received any donations of Almond Windmill Cookies and/or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, please do not eat them,” the chain said. “We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.”
