BOSTON — A winter storm that moved into New England overnight continued to drop snow in parts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire on Friday.
In Massachusetts, many communities saw at least three inches of snowfall, according to National Weather Service reports. Many towns in New Hampshire topped six inches of snow.

- Ashby - 9 inches
- Townsend - 4.9 inches
- Fitchburg - 4.8 inches
- Pepperell - 4.8 inches
- Boyleston - 4.3 inches
- Lunenburg - 4 inches
- Haverhill - 4 inches
- Ashburnham - 6.1 inches
- Burlington - 3.5 inches
- Dracut - 3.3 inches
- Methuen - 4.5 inches
- North Andover - 3 inches
- Tewksbury - 3.3 inches
- Carlisle - 2.7 inches
- Worcester - 2.6 inches
- Westminster - 2.5 inches
- Wilmington - 2.5 inches
- Princeton - 5.5 inches
- Lexington - 2.5 inches
- Sterling - 3 inches
- Andover - 3 inches
- Chelmsford - 3 inches
- Lowell - 2 inches
- Reading - 2 inches
Several communities in the Granite State have already topped 5 inches of snow.

- Bow - 6.1 inches
- Windham - 6.1 inches
- Dunbarton - 6 inches
- Pittsfield - 6 inches
- Laconia - 6 inches
- Northwood - 6 inches
- North Deerfield - 6 inches
- New Hampton - 6 inches

On top of the snow the fell overnight, an additional 4 inches of snowfall is expected in some areas on Friday.
Drivers are being urged to take it slow if they have to travel due to slick, snow-covered roads.
Dozens of schools across the region have reported closings and delays.
