Things to do in Boston this weekend

Looking for something to do this weekend? Boston 25 has you covered.

Mayfair

May has arrived, and maybe you want to celebrate by heading over to Mayfair in Harvard Square. This free event happens on six streets in Harvard Square. It features four stages with live music, outdoor dining patios from local restaurants, beer gardens, and crafts from local artisans.

Lilac Sunday

Admittedly, this is one of my favorite spring things to do. If you love lilacs, you have to head over to Arnold Arboretum this Sunday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the annual Lilac Sunday. The arboretum has more than 400 lilacs to enjoy. Most of them are in the Bussey Hill Road area. You are also allowed to pack a picnic to enjoy under the lilacs too. And best of all, this event is free!

Duckling Day

And make way for ducklings! Boston’s annual Duckling Day celebration and parade is also this Sunday, May 14 at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common. For $35 per family, you’ll enjoy admission to playtime on the common with several performances, and you’ll also participate in the parade through the common and the public garden. Kids are encouraged to dress like characters from the book, Make Way for Ducklings. You can register for this event here.

Wherever you go this weekend, have fun!

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
