PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A string of brightly shining lights appeared in the sky over Massachusetts on Monday night, amazing some residents who were able to capture video of the bizarre sight.
“What is this? It’s a long string of light, but it’s moving,” said Dianne Bichay, who shared video of the spectacle. “I’m telling you, it’s Santa Claus and his reindeer.”
Another person in the video questioned whether its was a flock of geese “with their headlights on.”
The lights actually had nothing to do with Santa preparing for Christmas or migrating waterfowl. It was dozens of SpaceX Starlink Satellites that were launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, over the weekend.
The Starlink satellites provide internet coverage to many countries.
