Restaurant chain that serves ‘pizza like no other’ moving to Massachusetts with 2 locations

WOBURN, Mass. — A popular Connecticut restaurant chain that serves up “crafted pizza like no other” is moving to Massachusetts with plans to open a pair of locations in bustling areas.

Sally’s Apizza, founded in New Haven in 1938, is opening a restaurant at the Woburn Village in 2023 and in Boston’s Seaport section in 2024, according to the chain’s website.

“Famous for our distinctive tomato sauce and chewy, crispy crust with an iconic oven-kissed char, Sally’s draws pizza fans from around the world,” the restaurant’s website states.

Sally’s currently has three Connecticut restaurants in Fairfield, Stamford, and New Haven. Additional spots are also coming to Wethersfield, Norwalk, and Newington.

Their renowned pies were named among the best in America by USA Today, among other publications.

The chain didn’t say exactly when the Woburn and Boston locations will open.
