Police investigating double-fatal crash in Stoughton

STOUGHTON, Mass. — A double-fatal crash is under investigation following the motor vehicle accident that occurred Monday night shortly after 8:30 p.m. in Stoughton.

The Norfolk D.A.’s office told Boston 25 the accident involved a Toyota Corolla and a Harley Davidson motorcycle and occurred in the vicinity of Washington Street or Rte. 138.

The couple driving the motorcycle, Al Pedro, 50, and Aldina Pedro, 51, was traveling northbound on Rte. 138 when they collided with the sedan traveling southbound.

Police added that although the crash reconstruction and analysis report is not complete, there were initial indications at the scene are that the collision occurred in the northbound lane.

Both Al and Aldina did not survive the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a man in his early 60s, was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

No charges have been placed at this time as the investigation continues.

Stoughton Police, MA State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Norfolk D.A.’s office is currently investigating the motor vehicle accident.
